Socks on Two Circulars with Kristin Hansen

Using her own design, Kristin teaches you how to work in the round using 2 circular needles. This is a wonderful technique to master for making all kinds of projects in the round, including hats, sleeves for your sweaters, and anything else that would require the use of double points. You will complete one baby sock in class and have enough yarn left over to complete an adult pair afterwards!

Materials:

400 yds sock yarn
2 circular needles (same size) 16" or 20"
Toolbox: stitch markers, tapestry needle, tape measure, scissors, crochet hook

 

 

Felted Hat with Tasha Miller Griffith

This classic hat pattern by Fiber Trends is a blast to make, and a great addition to any wardrobe. Learn how to knit in the round, decrease and, of course, FELT!! During the 2nd class, our trek to the laundomat will be an adventure you won't soon forget! This class is always a hit!

Magic Triangle Scarf with Gerry Futoran

This is a beginning class for those of you who know how to cast-on, knit, purl and bind off. You will learn the "knit in the front and back" increase, basic short row shaping and have a beautiful, impressive scarf to show off.

Spring Break Kids Camp and Memorial Day Kids Camp with Patti Laird-Martin

Kristin will bring her blocking devices and her years of experience to assist you finally finishing that ol' thing! It seems too hard, but really...it isn't. Kristin and her talented sidekick Kathy make this process so much fun.

Beginning Knit with Tasha Miller Griffith

Come on...it's time to learn how to knit! This 3-hour class is for adults and teens. We will start from the very beginning, and learn cast on, knit and purl stitches, and binding off. We'll cover basic concepts, common mistakes, and pattern variations using just knit and purl. You will make a scarf and begin a hat, all in just 3 enjoyable lessons.

Design Your Own Hat with Tasha

Welcome to the world of designing your own knitting! In this class we will take some basic info and as much creativity as you want to add, and turn it into your very own hat knitting pattern. You will also be able to use what you learn to alter and create more patterns. Please note: we won't actually knit anything, instead we will be focused on the design process.

A hat that fits you well (feel free to bring other hats you like, even if they don't fit)

Heels & Toes with Kristen Hansen

Lets explore all those cast on options for toe-up socks. Once we get the toes worked and the foot, when which heel? Short row, Dutch heel? We'll also explore the options for heels. Students should bring their favorite sock needles (dpns or circs), yarn, and tool kit. We'll just be working toes, very small foot, and then heels. Written instructions will be provided for all the cast ons and heels discussed.

Mosaic Knitted Tam with Kristen Hansen

Learn Mosaic Knitting! Add color to your knitting without the usual fuss of stranding, intarsia or duplicate stitching. We'll work a long swatch using a mosaic knitting chart, and then follow the pattern instructions to turn the swatch into a tam. Students will learn to read a mosaic knitting chart.
